Tax Invoice Software for GCC Businesses
A tax invoice is the document your customer needs to recover VAT, and the document an auditor checks first. Each GCC tax authority sets out mandatory fields, and an invoice missing any of them can be rejected for input-tax recovery.
DocMakBooks creates invoices with the required fields, VAT calculated per line and sequential numbering, and links every invoice to your VAT return and receivables.

Mandatory fields on a GCC tax invoice
Across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain, a full tax invoice generally needs:
- The words "Tax Invoice" clearly shown.
- Supplier name, address and VAT registration number.
- Buyer name, address and VAT number for B2B supplies.
- A unique sequential invoice number and the date of issue (and supply date, if different).
- Description, quantity and unit price of each item.
- VAT rate, VAT amount and total, with the VAT amount shown in the local currency.
Country-specific rules
Saudi Arabia requires invoices in Arabic (another language may be added alongside), and from FATOORA Phase 1 they must come from compliant electronic software with a QR code on simplified invoices. The UAE allows simplified tax invoices for supplies under AED 10,000 or to non-registered buyers. Oman and Bahrain follow the common GCC VAT framework with their own local requirements.
